Sgt. Joseph E. Williams served in Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment. He went to Camp Roberts, California (San Luis Obispo), was furloughed in April 1943 to be married in Detroit, and then went to Camp Rucker, Alabama. From there he went to New Jersey to be shipped overseas. He was a musician all his life and, when in the service, played the upright Bass and the Tuba in various groups both for the service and some off-duty gigs. Sgt. Williams passed away in June of 2000.

His son, Mr. Lawrence Williams, would like to hear from anyone who remembers his father from his time in the service. His mail address is lawsb2@yahoo.com

If anyone can identify any of the soldiers in the group photo above, please send an email to rv_russo@yahoo.com
