Pfc George H McGuire was born May 2, 1921 in Chase Kansas. He served as a Light Mortar Crew Member in the Weapons Platoon, Company F, 134th Infantry Regiment. He landed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France on July 5, 1944. He was Killed in Action July 15, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
