Born November 15, 1922 - KIA November 13, 1944 in France. He is interred at St. Avold Military Cemetery in France, Plot B, Row 26, Grave 34. Leo was born in Lackawanna, N.Y., a suburb of Buffalo. His parents moved to Detroit in order for my dad to get work at the auto companies. Leo also joined the CCC Camps.This picture was taken in January 1944.

S/Sgt. Korejsza wrote the following letter to his family from the hospital in August 1944. During this stay in the hospital he was promoted to S/Sgt and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.

Chaplain A. C. Walker wrote the following letter to S/Sgt. Korejsza's mother, regarding the death of her son.

The following letter was written to S/Sgt. Korejsza's sister Nancy in response to her inquiry as to the circumstances of her brother's death.

The following letter was written to S/Sgt. Korejsza's sister Nancy by Cpl. Louis Albertini who was the Aid Man with her brother's Company.
