Dear Readers,
Our names are Neil & Mandy,
We own a little house in the village Notre Dame Du Touchet Lower Normandy
,and on digging our garden we found a empty rifle cartridge, emotions were stirred and we started to think about what happened in this village in the war.
If any body has any info or photos of the village we would love to see them.
Thankyou
Neil & Mandy

Just did an interview with Lt. Col. Joe Giacobello, who was company commander of F Co. 137th Infantry of the 35th Div. As you know, Mr. Giacobello wont the DSC and the Silver Star twice. It was an honor to meet a fine upstanding man who is now 93 years young.
I am a reporter for The Daily News which is the local newspaper near Mr. Giacobello's hometown of Mount U N I O N.
I salute each one you for your service and willingness to save our freedom. God Bless each one of you.
Respectfully,
A Brother in Arms

I am the eldest son of Lt. James W. Powers, who was wounded on a French farm in the attack to take St. Lo. I have visited that site with him and have a vivid recollection of his experiences there. He was immensely proud of his service and stayed in touch with his closest comrades. His scars were badges of honor to me and my brother.
There is a French family with whom we are friends to this day because he was wounded in their cow pasture. All honor to the 134th Infantry Regiment and the 35th Division!

Thanks for maintaining this site. My grandfather fought and died with the 134th. This was helpful as my father knew little of his father (was but an infant when he died.)
One note, and it's not a huge deal, but his first and last names are mispelled on the KIA list. You have it as Moores, Frederick T., it's actually Mooers, Fredrick T. It wouldn't surprise me if they had it spelled incorrectly on the unit roster.
Thanks again...Cav

Thank you for this wonderful site. It helped me find out how my uncle serve in the war. (Sanford H. Nelson PFC) The information of the morning reports explained how he was MIA where and when. I was named after him.
Thank you very much.

My great uncle, Vincent P. Nehe, served in the 134th Regiment. This website is a great honor to those who served. I would appreciate any personal information anyone might have on Mst. Sgt. Vincent Nehe.

My grandfather was Sgt. Ike Lough. He never talked about his military service and this site is the first I have ever been able to find out.
Thank you to all who served and sacrificed. Thank you Grandad. I miss you.
