S/Sgt Leroy Vanwey was my Great Uncle; brother of my Grandfather James Vanwy.
Per info found on this website, S/Sgt Vanwey was a squad leader, 134 Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, Company B, 2nd Platoon.
S/Sgt Vanwey passed several years ago, this website has been a great resource.

I am so thankful for your website, Roberta Russo helped me alot back in 2010 locating information about PVT RALPH STARKEY. Additionally, I was able to get copies of his military records (what was available and legibile after the fire where the records were kept) I keep coming back though hoping to find anyone that might have known him, served with him and could share any stories and/or pictures.
Thank you
