My father is listed here. He was Edward A Chrismond and he went on to receive many medals including the bronze star. Thank you for including him on the list. He passed away in 2003.

You do a terrific job with this website. I know that maintaining a website is a huge challenge.

Your documentation for 137th Infantry Regiment allowed me to (finally!) find a connection to my Dad's cousin, Stuart F. Smith, Army s/n 32747846. Thank you! Family oral history was that he was "killed at Normandy during the invasion," but given he was in Co. C of 137th, his death must have occurred well after the initial landings. I need to dig into what you have posted in more detail - Any thoughts or tips on how to expedite finding his story would be very much appreciated! (I have requested his personnel and IDPF but nothing delivered yet.)

I am searching for information regarding the wartime service of my uncle, PFC Julius S. Matczak. He was assigned to the 134th Regt as a medic, but I don't know the company or battalion. I don't know if medics were carried on the rifle company rosters or attached from HQs Co or Regt. He was wounded on 22 SEP 44 and I believe evacuated to England. I have his purple heart documentation but it was not awarded until 1999 and there is no narrative. I'm sure this was not uncommon given the operational tempo of the time but if anyone knows what the organization of medical assets was in 1944 it would help.

Great Site and one can spend hours transfiexed by the history of this great fighting group. I am looking for information for my Memorial website "Stasforever.com" for Pfc Richard C. Johnson who was Kia on Sept. 20, 1944. I can be reached at "toolman_146@yahoo.com." Thanks.

My dad was part of this amazing unit, 35th ID, 137th. I am looking for a listing of their battles and hope to do a trip to France, Germany and Belgium to visit the sites. Anyone know of a tour?

My father (Alfred J Fischer) was in the 134th, company I, I found this web site this morning and wow I found dads name on the roster!! He didn't speak much about his military experience, he passed away in 1990 and about all we know is he was wounded at St Lo on 27 July 1944. I hopefully can find more information about his month or so in France. Thanks - Mike Fischer
