I am the proud son of Floyd James Brown who served with Company K 134th Infantry. He never spoke of his service, but I new growing up that he served by the wounds and the scares he had on his legs. He just never talked about it. When dad did pass we went through his treasure and found all these medals and paper and found his record of where. When I read Normandy I cried and cried. Never a word from him. Thank You Dad and thanks to the soldiers.

Came across the plaque by the bridge at Chateaudun and done a little digging on Google which brought me to your web page. A great read, nice to be able to find out more about these very brave men and their unit. I served in the British Army in the 60-70's main battle tanks.

My father, almost 97 is still alive and kicking. Was in the 134th, Company L. He was I think in the 3rd invastion of Omaha Beach and in St Lo. Had frozen feet and was sent back in. Talks a lot about Omaha Beach and St lo in France. Just thought we would check back in as he talks more and more about his days back then more then ever.

Hi,

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your work in assembling this history of the 134th Inf. Regiment.

This is as much information as I'll ever have of my dad's service since his records were in the fire that destroyed so many of our veterans records.

It is absolutely wonderful to see the actual documents that tell of the daily happenings of the regiment and his company, Company A.

Thanks again,

Dick Bishop

Thank you. My father-in-law, PFC Virgil Begesse, served in Company K from September, 1944 until he was severely injured on or about January 5, 1945, in the Ardennes. I eagerly await the Company K Morning Reports.

I am doing some research on 2nd Lt. Danny J. Walker who served in the great 134th Infantry. He was born in Grand Island, Nebraska. I have a large collection of letters he wrote to my mother and Danny's wife Vera. He was not my father, but I started reading the letters when I was old enough to read and have remained fascinated with him, his contribution and ultimate sacrifice. He was reported missing on March 9, 1945 and then his death confirmed in a telegram dated 3/27/1945. I believe his final resting place is in Henri-Chapelle Belgium, although he was KIA in Germany. If any of you fine vets served with him, I would love to hear from you. God Bless America and all who served her.

Cynthia Walker (last name just a coincidence)

Hi,

I am a 654TH TANK DESTROYER BATTALION HISTORIAN- in the process of completing a manuscript after a decade of research on this unit.

My UNCLE - 1LT. MAURICE P. ALGER, JR. also served in this unit in B Company as COMPANY EXECUTIVE OFFICER. He was KIA on 21 July 1944 at the age of 23 in St. Lo, Normandy, France during the defense of the town.

His remains are interned in Normandy American Cemetery

.........I AM INTERESTED IN LOCATING SURVIVING 654TH VETERANS OR THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS..... As I would love to honor their service in my manuscript.........

LUV your website thanks for also honoring "Our Greatest Generation"!

God bless,
Ann Gaule 654TDBn.
