We are still trying to locate the soldier who saved my grandfather under FLAVIGNY BRIDGE in September in 1944 in France. This could possibly be a Medic from the 110th. Thank You.

My father Harvey K. Hess was in the 35th div. of the 320th infantry. I am so proud to be his son.His stories of the cold and the fighting I will never forget, but he would not talk much about it.As a boy I would ask those childish questions "Daddy did you kill a lot of Nazis" he would sort of stare into space and say "i did what I had to do.God rest his soul and all of our boys who made it and didn't make it too. There was a photo of him in France giving another GI a haircut in a building with a bomb hole in the wall,i cherish his memory.

Years ago, I saw an intriguing pin among my dad's WWII keepsakes, which has turned out to be an 134th Infantry Regimental crest. It's great to be able to explore his footsteps through training and combat. Thanks for making the rosters and histories available.
