Davis Family 1953 - (left to right) Jack, Mary Ellen, Roland Jr., Roland Sr., and Robert Davis 

Roland J. Davis joined Company M, 134th Infantry Regiment on August 13, 1944 and served as a heavy machine gunner.  He was wounded in action on November 25, 1944 but remained on duty.  He returned to the United States on the Queen Mary with the Regiment on September 5, 1945.  Roland Davis and his wife Mary Ellen had 3 children: Robert, Jack, and Roland Jr.  He passed away in 2000 at the age of 89.
