Richard Elbert Wiseman, son of William Fletcher and Ina A (Wight) Wiseman, was born October 10, 1915 in South Sioux City, Nebraska. He served in Headquarters Battery, 161st Field Artillery Battalion. He was seriously wounded by an artillery shell blast on February 12, 1945 in the vicinity of Randerath, Germany and was taken to the 105th Evacuation Hospital where he died of his wounds that same day. T/5 Richard E Wiseman is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
