Anthony J Torisky, son of Gabriel Joseph and Susanna Torisky, was born March 14, 1910 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He married his wife Bertha June 23, 1936 and the couple had 2 daughters, Patricia and Virginia. He entered active service February 8, 1944 at Pittsburgh, joined Company C, 137th Infantry Regiment from the 53rd Replacement Battalion on September 7, 1944, and served as a Rifleman. Pvt Anthony J Torisky was reported missing November 11, 1944 north of Chateau Salins, France. It was later confirmed that he had been killed in action. He is buried at Saint Casimir Cemetery, Whitehall, Pennsylvania.
