Billie Eugene Miller, son of John and Ruby Pearl (Barnett) Miller, was born April 19, 1925 at Boonville, Indiana. He registered for the draft on his 18th birthday, April 19, 1943, and entered service January 11, 1944. He joined Company K, 137th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 53rd Replacement Battalion September 7, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of Epagne, France. Pvt Billie E Miller was reported missing October 1, 1944 during fighting near the Foret De Gremecey, France and was later confirmed killed in action on that date. He is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Indiana.
