137th Infantry Regiment, Medical Detachment

Earl William Henderson, son of Samuel and Anna (Engel) Henderson, was born November 14, 1906 in Beloit, Kansas. He married Barbara Crary George January 19, 1943. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 when he was working at the Mitchell County Farm Bureau Office in Beloit. He served in the Medical Detachment, 137th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France on July 8, 1944. T/4 Earl W Henderson was killed in action July 19, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
