Wallace William Wilson, son of William Wallace and Fannie (Lindsey) Wilson, was born August 29, 1915 in Pickens County, Alabama. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was inducted into the Army February 10, 1942 at Fort McPherson in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Dorothy Dunn on July 29, 1942 at Rossville, Georgia. He served as a Rifleman in the Headquarters Platoon, Company E, 134th Infantry Regiment. Pvt Wallace W Wilson was originally reported missing south of St Lo, France and it was later confirmed that he had been killed in action. He is buried at Sand Spring Cemetery, Gordo, Alabama.
