134th Infantry Regiment - Company A

Albert Joseph Tomlinson, son of Joseph and Catherine (Kaiser) Tomlinson, was born April 8, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942, was inducted into the Army March 17 at Pittsburgh, and entered active service March 24, 1943. He joined Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on July 24, 1944 and served as a Light Machine Gunner. He was originally reported missing but it was later confirmed that he had been killed in action August 11, 1944 in the vicinity of Mortain, France. Pfc Albert J Tomlinson is buried at Brittany American Cemetery, Saint-James, France.
