134th Infantry Regiment - Company L

William E Tombrink, son of Martin Joseph and Marie Josephine (Dvorak) Tombrink, was born in Nebraska on October 16, 1916. He was a member of the Nebraska National Guard, inducted into Federal service December 23, 1940 at Omaha, Nebraska. He was a Squad Leader, First Platoon, Company L, 134th Infantry Regiment. S/Sgt William E Tombrink was killed in action July 18, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. He is buried at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Omaha, Nebraska.
