Hugo William John Schiebinger, son of John and Amanda Schiebinger, was born April 14, 1920 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He registered for the draft July 1, 1941. At the time he was living in Lincoln, Nebraska and working as a service man at Warner Brown Soft Water Service Company in Lincoln. He joined Company G, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Platoon Leader on July 18, 1944 from the 86th Replacement Battalion. He was killed in action July 22, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. 1st Lt Hugo W Schiebinger is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
