134th Infantry Regiment - HQ Company 3rd Bn

Stephen Joseph Masalski, son of Adam and Stella Masalski. was born May 2, 1909 in Elmira, Michigan. He registered for the draft on October 16, 1940. At that time he worked for Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Pontiac, Michigan. According to his draft record, he was 5' 10" tall, weighing 185 pounds, with blue eyes, blonde hair, and a light complexion. He was inducted into the Army on April 1, 1942.

Cpl Stephen J Masalski served in the Anti Tank Platoon, Headquarters Company 3rd Battalion, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division. He was promoted from Private First Class to Corporal on August 19, 1944. He was Killed in Action on September 30, 1944 in the vicinity of Han, France. Cpl Stephen J Masalski is buried at Lorraine American Cemetery, St Avold, France.
