John Calvin Logan, son of John Peter and Dora Mae (Rowlett) Logan, was born January 25, 1918 in Harrison, Arkansas. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940. At that time he was living in Missouri. His draft record lists him as 5' 11" tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair, and a light complexion. He married Ethel Blanche Tye November 14, 1941 and their son Calvin Larry Logan was born August 17, 1942. Pfc John C Logan served in Headquarters Platoon, Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment. He landed on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France July 5, 1944. He was Killed in Action August 1, 1944 in the vicinity of Torigni Sur Vire, France and is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
