Dennis Jason Lambert, son of Jason Robert and Melvina Jane (White), Lambert, was born May 10, 1923 in Wymer, West Virginia. He registered for the draft June 30, 1942. He worked as a miner before being inducted into the Army January 9, 1943 at Clarksburg, West Virginia. He served as an Ammunition Handler in the First Platoon, Company M, 134th Infantry Regiment and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 6, 1944. Pvt Dennis J Lambert was killed in action by artillery shell fragments July 17, 1944 in the vicinity of St Lo, France. He is buried at Lambert Cemetery #1, Wymer, West Virginia.
