Wilford Earl Hubbell was born March 27, 1919 in Howard, Kansas. He registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and enlisted in the Army March 14, 1944 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He joined Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 38th Replacement Battalion on September 20, 1944 when the unit was at Agincourt, France. He was promoted to Private First Class October 1, 1944. Pfc Wilford E Hubbell was killed by a landmine November 16, 1944 in the vicinity of Pevange, France. He is buried at Grace Lawn Cemetery, Howard, Kansas.
