134th Infantry Regiment - Company B

Willard J Holmquist, son of William Thomas and Rosine (Wheeler) Holmquist, was born May 15, 1920 at Amery, Wisconsin. He moved to Montana sometime prior to 1930. He enlisted in the Army March 23, 1942, served in Second Platoon, Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment, and landed at Omaha Beach, Normandy France July 5, 1944. Pfc Willard J Holmquist was killed in action July 15, 1944 by shell blast fragments in the vicinity of L'Emilie north of St Lo, France. He is buried at Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
