134th Infantry Regiment - Company F

Joseph Lee Haslett, son of Roy Milton and Verna (Keefe) Haslett, was born January 17, 1925 in Reno, Nevada. He registered for the draft January 18, 1943 when he was an 18 year old student and was inducted into the Army December 29, 1943 at Fort Douglas, Utah. He joined Company F, 134th Infantry Regiment as a Rifleman from the 38th Replacement Battalion September 11, 1944 when the unit was at Germiny, France, about 17 miles southwest of Nancy. Pvt Joseph L Haslett was wounded by a shell blast in the vicinity of Nancy, France on September 18 and died of his wounds September 25, 1944. He is buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California.
