John Connelly Jr was born in Nebraska on July 29, 1917. He was a member of the Nebraska National Guard and enlisted on December 23, 1940 in Omaha. He was originally a member of Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment and landed on Omaha Beach with them on July 6, 1944. He was transferred to Headquarters Company on October 6, 1944 and Killed in Action on April 23, 1945 during the fighting along the Elbe River north of Magedeburg, Germany. Pfc John Connelly, Jr is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
