Michael Maloy Conley, son of Michael Hogan and Margaret (Campbell) Conley, was born in Dodge, Georgia on April 28, 1906. He registered for the draft on October 16, 1940. His draft record lists him as 5' 8" tall, weighing 178 pounds, with blue eyes, brown hair, a light complexion with a scar on his right arm. He was inducted into the Army on January 2, 1943 at Fort McPherson, Georgia and served as a Rifleman in the Second Platoon of Company B. Pfc Michael M Conley was Killed in Action on July 16, 1944 during the battle for St Lo, France. He is buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Rhine, Georgia.
